FUNDING: Barchester Healthcare Foundation – apply at any time

Apply for a small grant if you have a project that tackles loneliness amongst older people and adults with a disability.

Small community groups, local charities and individuals can apply for grants of between £100 and £2,500 for equipment and to support projects that tackle loneliness amongst older people and adults with a disability. The focus is on connecting or re-connecting people with others in their local community, helping combat isolation and loneliness and enabling people to be active and engaged.

The funding can be used for day trips, outings and group holidays in the UK, activities, transport as well as equipment and materials. 

Grants for individuals, must be completed by a third party who knows the individual in a professional or community-based capacity such as healthcare professionals, social workers or charity or support group representatives. 

Applications are assessed on a case by case basis, with funds allocated to those who demonstrate greatest need.

There is no deadline for applications, they can be made at any time.

It takes us up to 10 weeks to process an application.
