This funding is for projects which engage with traditional or contemporary Asian culture and feature established or mid-career artists from Asia or its diasporas.
The mission of the Bagri Foundation is to support and realise unique, high-quality programmes which share traditional and contemporary Asian culture.
Grants of between £5,000 and £150,000 are offered through this programme to UK-based charities, CIOs, CICs, exempt charities, and experienced creative collectives. Their primary focus is on projects in London.
Grants typically cover 10–40% of total project costs. Organisations seeking requests over £75,000 should contact the Foundation before applying.
The scheme supports a wide range of cultural activity including crafts, exhibitions, performance, literature events, and public commissions.
Cultural forms the Trustees are particularly excited by are visual arts and performance and live arts.
There are two funding rounds a year in March-May (decisions June/July) and September-November (decisions December/January).
Expressions of interest are reviewed on a rolling basis, every two weeks.
The closing date for Stage 1 of the current funding round is 3 October 2025.
Stage 2 applications are by invitation only.
