Small grants are offered to individuals, community groups, schools, and other not-for-profit organisations to encourage people across the UK to get involved with outdoor activities and experiences.
Grants of up to £500 are provided by this Foundation, with the aim of breaking down barriers to outdoor participation.
It is focused on small awards of £50-£500 that have a direct impact on getting people outdoors and having great experiences that otherwise couldn’t happen.
The Foundation particularly likes to support projects that:
- encourage responsible outdoor activity
- have long lasting benefits
- introduce new people to get outdoors
- demonstrate value for money.
They are keen to support Diversity and Inclusion Projects that engage individual and groups from a diverse range of backgrounds, Environmental Projects, Health Projects, Education Projects, and Participation Projects that get more people experiencing the Great Outdoors.
Applications can be made at any time and are reviewed every two months. They should be submitted at least three months before the project start date in order to be considered at the trustee meetings.
There is no limit to how many times an applicant may apply.
