Continue reading “FUNDING: Cameron Grants for Innovation in Mental Health – no deadline”The £65,000 Active Richmond fund was launched to help local community organisations and small businesses offer activities which boost health and wellbeing in the borough.
It was created by Richmond Council to support local organisations to help build a suite of cultural, social and physical activities available via the programme.
Guidance for the fund has recently been updated and voluntary and community organisations and small businesses in Richmond upon Thames can now apply for Micro Grants of up to £1,000 and Main Grants of up £5,000 grants. The grants should support Social Prescribing projects that enable people to become physically active to improve their health and wellbeing – it could be to become more active at home or outdoor activity, such as leisure or fitness classes or participating in arts and parks activities.
Applications can be submitted at any time and it is anticipated that the Council will respond to the applicants applying to Micro Grants within 6 weeks and Main Grants within 10 weeks.
