FUNDING: Addressing Youth Isolation Fund – opens 1 February 2021

London Sport’s Addressing Youth Isolation Fund application window is open for applications during the month of February.

It has been set up to identify how physical activity can be used to reduce isolation in young people (14-19 years), caused by challenges like lockdown, school transitions, relocation, or separation from loved ones.

Applications should involve young people in their design, be COVID-19 safe, have a minimum delivery period of 30 weeks and offer value for money.

See more details in the presentation slides below (click on the title) and check the London Sport website for updates.

FUNDING: Active Richmond – apply at any time

The £65,000 Active Richmond fund was launched to help local community organisations and small businesses offer activities which boost health and wellbeing in the borough.

It was created by Richmond Council to support local organisations to help build a suite of cultural, social and physical activities available via the programme.

Guidance for the fund has recently been updated and voluntary and community organisations and small businesses in Richmond upon Thames can now apply for Micro Grants of up to £1,000 and Main Grants of up £5,000 grants.  The grants should support Social Prescribing projects that enable people to become physically active to improve their health and wellbeing – it could be to become more active at home or outdoor activity, such as leisure or fitness classes or participating in arts and parks activities.

Applications can be submitted at any time and it is anticipated that the Council will respond to the applicants applying to Micro Grants within 6 weeks and Main Grants within 10 weeks.

Read the official press release here or for the full details and updated guidance, visit the Active Richmond webpage.
