Microgrants are to be awarded by Richmond Council from April 2024 to help get locally-led climate action initiatives off the ground or grow existing ones.
Two to three microgrants per month, of £100 to £500, will be made to help residents learn about climate action and switch to sustainable behaviours, as well as for projects to support local people and nature to adapt to a changing climate.
They are especially interested in applications that can demonstrate a wider community benefit – from individual neighbours to supporting more disadvantaged or vulnerable members of the community.
The grants are open to anyone living or working in Richmond borough and can be applied for by individuals, community groups, schools, or not-for-profits.
There are monthly application deadlines on:
- Friday 22 March
- Friday 26 April
- Friday 24 May
- Friday 21 June
- Friday 26 July.
Notification of award decisions will be made the week after each application deadline.
