This is a National Lottery funding initiative to support sports clubs and community organisations to set up and run their own crowdfunding campaigns to help improve their resilience and sustainability.
A total of £7.5 million of funding is available with the potential for individual campaigns to gain match funding of up to £10,000.
Campaigns might be related to the ongoing impact of Covid-19, or the emerging energy, cost of living or other local crises.
The support is targeted at organisations that have a role in supporting the nation to be active but are experiencing short-term financial hardship, or the ceasing of operations due to a crisis.
Examples of projects include money to support additional costs such as new activities, changing facilities to lower energy consumption, unforeseen events such as fire or theft, and facility refurbishments, maintenance or improvements.
As well as match funding, the programme offers free 1-2-1 coaching by experts, advice and guidance on campaign improvements, free online courses and webinars.
Applications can be made at any time.
