Apply now to a new local community gardening programme supporting projects in areas close to Squires Garden Centres.

Squires Garden Centres have launched this new funding opportunity to support projects within a 10-mile radius of their Centres. For Richmond borough this includes Twickenham, Shepperton and Long Ditton.

Projects must demonstrate a clear benefit to the wider community and be accessible to anyone in the local area.  They will also need to be well maintained beyond the end of the award period.

The Awards will be in the form of Squire’s vouchers and will allow recipients to choose plants, tools and other gardening supplies, according to their own needs.

The £5,000 fund will be split into 7 awards – 3 awards of £1,000 and 4 awards of £500.

Initiatives selected will be confirmed in mid-March, with projects scheduled to run throughout spring and summer, culminating at the end of July 2024. Projects can be new or existing

Application is by a brief online form.

The closing date to apply is Thursday 29 February 2024.
