FUNDING: GSK Health Inequalities Programme – apply by 14 Aug

This programme supports aspirational voluntary and community sector leaders working to improve people’s health and wellbeing who want to develop their organisations.

The programme is open to registered charities that are at least one year old, located and working in the UK, with a total annual income of between £20,000 and £150,000.

It recognises that a huge amount of work around tackling health inequalities is carried out by very small charities working in their communities, and how hard it can be for these organisations to access unrestricted funding and support for their leaders – particularly so for organisations who themselves may experience disadvantage, such as those led by people from ethnic minority communities, people with disabilities, people from the LGBTQ+ community and others.

Up to 15 charities will receive up to £10,000 in unrestricted funding and access to training and development valued at £2,700 from a leadership programme delivered by The King’s Fund, commencing January 2024.

Participants will co-create the content of the leadership programme. There is an expectation that they will come with an openness and willingness to challenge their thinking, reflect on and develop their leadership practice and collaborate together to build a supportive learning community.

This programme is designed to run alongside the GSK IMPACT Awards which is for organisations with larger annual incomes.

The closing date for applications is 5pm on Monday 14 August 2023.

Decisions will be given by mid-October 2023.
