The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) are re-launching this fund with £3m to support the resilience of organisations working to end Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) in minoritised and marginalised communities.
The fund is managed by The London Community Fund and aims to help address the needs of women facing multiple disadvantages where mainstream generic provision is not always apparent.
This includes the needs of:
- minoritized women from Black and minoritized ethnic backgrounds
- Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, queer + women, and disabled women
- women with no recourse to public funds
- women involved in prostitution and exploitation.
Grants will be awarded to organisations that are working to prevent VAWG, support survivors, or challenge the attitudes and behaviours that lead to violence.
For individual organisations, two-year grants between £30,000 (£15,000 per year) and £100,000 (£50,000 per year) are available.
Partnerships of up to three organisations can apply for two-year grants of up to £120,000 (£60,000 per year) for the partnership.
Online Q&A sessions are available to book now on 25 July and 10 August.
The fund closes for applications at 12 noon on Wednesday 30 August 2023.
