Applications are open for this annual campaign for charities working on environmental issues.
This year’s Big Give campaign will run around World Earth Day (22 April), between 18-25 April 2024.
To be eligible to apply, charities are required to:
- be a UK-registered charity with a Charity Commission number or tax-exempt status and an annual income of at least £25,000 (as per last filed accounts).
- be a charity working on environmental issues as part of your core mission (by “core mission”, they mean that the environment is mentioned in your organisation’s charitable objects) – this may include biodiversity and conservation, climate change, agriculture and food, sustainable communities, energy, transport, trade and finance, consumption and waste and toxics and pollution. Charities may be working in the UK or overseas.
- be registered on theBigGive.org.uk – it’s free to register
- be a charity seeking to raise either up to £10,000 or £100,000 in public donations. Charities can receive up to £10,000 or £50,000 of Champion match funding.
Funds received during the campaign are restricted to the information outlined in your application until you reach your target.
If you exceed your target, the the additional funds may be unrestricted.
Charities may use the campaign to raise unrestricted funds as long as it meets the eligibility requirements.
The closing date to apply to join this year’s campaign is Tuesday 16 January 2024.
