This funding is focused on supporting small, local, specialist charities that understand the complexity of the issues people face and are best placed to make a genuine difference to people’s lives.
Specialist charities with an income of between £25,000 and £500,000 can can apply for three-year unrestricted grants of £75,000.
There are eight themes to this funding of:
- Addiction
- Asylum Seekers and Refugees
- Care Leavers
- Domestic Abuse
- Homelessness
- Offending
- Sexual Abuse and Exploitation
- Trafficking and Modern Slavery
In total, 84 grants will be made under this programme in 2024.
To apply, your organisation must be able a registered charity or CIO and be able to demonstrate in-depth services, person-centred services and personal plans for the people you support.
Priority will be given to those which demonstrate a deep understanding of additional barriers and a commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion , as well as lived experience/service user involvement, trauma-informed work and strengths-based practice.
The Foundation is also keen to work with charities that can benefit the most from partnering with them, which includes funding, support to develop, and access to resources.
A Q&A webinar is being held on 9 November 2023 to go through the eligibility criteria and answer questions.
You can also schedule a 30 minute appointment to speak to someone from their team before you submit an application.
If you need documents in a different format, eg. Easy Read, contact the Foundation by Friday 15 December 2023 at the latest. Accessibility support up to £500 can be provided to apply for this programme, such as a scribe or BSL interpreter.
The closing date for applications is 5pm on Thursday 25 January 2024.
