Charitable organisations and care homes for the elderly can apply for small grants for activities which provide musical entertainment and related activities for the elderly.
Since 2004 the Trust has granted funds to over 300 charitable organisations in England and Wales and they are keen to support smaller organisations which might otherwise find it difficult to gain funding.
Grants awarded are for a maximum of £250.
There are two application rounds with closing dates of 30 April and 31 October.
Applications should be made in writing and posted in hard copy to the organisation’s Administrator. Accounts and/or financial statements must be included.
You will need to provide details of your charity’s objects, your financial position, the sector of the elderly community you benefit, the amount you are requesting and details of the proposed cultural activities or related facilities you intend to provide. No emails will be accepted.
The trustees will assess applications to ensure that any grant would be within the their objects, whether the charity is in financial need, the amount of benefit that would be derived from the grant (eg. the number of residents that would attend a concert or use the facilities) and any other factors the Trustees think important.
The Trust is particularly keen to act as a catalyst via matched funding.
The next deadline for applications is 31 October 2024.
Applicants are advised to submit their proposals in good time for consideration.
