Further funding from the DWP to support local residents aged 18+ to deal with the impact of the pandemic has been made available. It will be administered by Citizens Advice Richmond and Richmond AID, for those with disabilities, long term conditions or who are carers.
Grants are available from each of the above organisations for food and other essential items. Of the total available, 80% of grants are to be awarded to households with dependent children.
The maximum grant awards available are:
- up to £300 – households with 1 or more adults
- up to £500 – households with 1 child
- Up to £600 – households with 2 children or more.
The fund must be spent by 20 June 2021 and is likely to close to applications around mid-June to allow the processing of final payments.
