The B&Q Foundation supports local charities who share their vision to help create better, safer places for the people in our communities who need them most.

The fund provides grants to a wide range of charities who are looking for funding to improve or develop spaces that benefit their local communities.

It is managed by Neighbourly and offers up to £10,000 for internal projects, and £5,000 for garden projects.

The funding is restricted and can only used for projects which provide, maintain, repair or improve housing or community space in the UK and projects must be within 6 months of their award.

There are four funding rounds in 2024:

• open 9.30am on 5 February – closes 6pm on 23 February
• open 9.30am on 29 Apr – closes 6pm on 17 May
• open 9.30am on 22 Jul – closes 6pm on 9 August
• open 9.30am on 28 Oct – closes 6pm on 15 November.

Applicants will be notified by email within 8 weeks of a funding round closing.
