The Edward Gostling Foundation has the aim of enhancing the quality of life for people in need. They provide small and large grants to charities that support people of all ages who are living on low incomes, who have a physical and/or mental disability or a long-term illness.
The Foundation’s small fast track grants are for amounts up to £5,000 and their larger grants are for over £5,000.
They have four themes which projects should fall into – health and well being, independent living at home, respite and transition.
Application is by completion of an online form.
The Foundation also operates a Capital Grant Programme to encourage UK registered charities to bring forward major capital projects aligned with one or more of their four that will build new capacity, promote sustainability and bring about step change in the way care is provided. Capital projects are defined as the construction and fitting out of new buildings and/or extensions to existing buildings costing at least £1M. Grants of up to £250K are available but amounts vary depending on the size and scope of the project and will not exceed more than 50% of the project cost.
