Learn English at Home (LEAH) is looking for an experienced and flexible Finance Manager to join their small, friendly team on a part-time basis.
This is a varied, hands-on role offering the opportunity to take responsibility for the charity’s day-to-day finance function while working closely with colleagues and Trustees.
The Finance Manager will have overall responsibility for maintaining effective financial processes and controls, managing the Xero finance system, and preparing accurate and timely management information.
Key responsibilities include managing transactions, income and expenditure schedules, cash flow forecasts and balance sheets, preparing annual accounts and audit schedules, and overseeing the monthly payroll process.
The post holder will also prepare financial reports for the Board of Trustees and Finance Committee, attend Finance Committee meetings where required, and work alongside the Fundraising Manager to prepare budgets for funding applications and provide financial information for funder reports.
They are looking for someone who is qualified as ACA, ACCA or CIMA, although QBE candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.
The ideal candidate will have experience of charity accounting and be confident working independently and managing competing deadlines. As part of a small team, flexibility and collaboration are particularly important. They are looking for someone who is comfortable responding to changing priorities and who can bring a practical, organised and reliable approach to the role.
The role is based at Siddeley House in Kingston upon Thames, with the option of remote working. The 7 hours per week can be worked either as one full day or two half days.
