JOB: Pathways Senior Caseworker, Ruils – apply by 17 Apr

Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per annum / 35 hours per week

Pathways is a specialised welfare advice service that also provides advocacy and representation for Disabled adults living in Richmond. They work with clients to navigate complex housing, benefits and social care systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting people with complex welfare, housing or social care issues, be confident advocating on behalf of clients when needed, and be compassionate, patient and values-driven. They should also have an understanding of the welfare benefits system, disability rights and the Social Model of Disability, be able to break down complex information so it feels clear and manageable, and work in a calm and methodical way.

Key responsibilities include developing accessible information resources to help clients navigate health, care, benefits and housing systems, building and maintaining strong relationships with partners, and providing supervision and support to trainee caseworkers. The role will also involve supporting clients to gather evidence and prepare for benefits or housing applications and appeals, as well as attending key meetings and appeals with clients, advocating for them and helping them put their case forward confidently.
