JOB: Community Programme Officer, Multicultural Richmond – apply by 1 May

Salary: £31,000 per annum pro rata / 24 hours per week

This dynamic role is suited to someone with excellent organisational skills and the ability to motivate and inspire people to participate.

Multicultural Richmond (MCR) is looking for someone passionate about community, inclusion and social impact.

The postholder will need to work on their own initiative, be a “can do person”, and demonstrate creativity.

You will develop activities, increase membership, recruit volunteers, manage social media platforms, and encourage participation. Activities include ESOL support, community events and outings, digital skills sessions, anti-racism community work, yoga, Zumba, and health walks.

You will help run community groups in Ham and Heathfield, establish a new group in Hampton North, organise activities and support people from diverse communities, including refugees and those newly arrived in the UK.

You will have excellent communication, IT and administrative skills, and be fully competent in Microsoft applications. You will have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
