Not-for-profit organisations can apply for this funding to deliver projects that improve communities and the environment.
The SUEZ Communities Fund for England uses monies provided by SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK through the Landfill Communities Fund to support projects which improve public amenities, repair religious or historic buildings, or support biodiversity in areas surrounding Suez landfill sites. .
Projects must be located within an active funding zone, which is the area surrounding a qualifying site owned by SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK.
There is a site in Brentford which may enable local groups to qualify. A Postcode Checker is available to confirm.
The maximum grant amount is £50,000 for projects in England and the funding typically covers materials, equipment, and contractors for improvement work.
There are normally four funding rounds each year. The next two deadlines are:
- 3 September 2025 (decision by end-November 2025)
- 11 February 2026 (decision by end-April 2026).
