Build Up are looking for projects that can be built by young people in outdoor community spaces, including youth clubs, community centres, supervised adventure playgrounds and more.
Build Up is a charity that runs practical construction projects across London. They support young people to design and build public and community spaces. They bring young people, builders and designers together, equipping young people with the tools and agency to have ownership over their neighbourhoods.
Applications are invited for new project partnerships in 2026. This includes youth clubs, community centres, supervised adventure playgrounds and more.
This Open Call is focused on working with groups of young people aged 12 and older.
You might be a youth group, or a community organisation who wants to partner with one. The young people you work with may already have plans for a space. Or you might be an organisation committed to listening to young people’s ideas and enabling them to make decisions.
You may be working with a friends of parks groups, private developers, community organisations or even libraries who would benefit from Build Up’s help and supporting making spaces where young people feel heard and seen in their local community.
Application is by a short form. A Youth Advisory Board will select projects to move forward with.
