JOB: Crisis Café Support Worker, RB Mind – apply by 31 Jan

Salary: £13.46 per hour (£26,200 per annum pro rata) / 18.5 hours per week

Are you a compassionate and motivated individual who could join the team at Richmond’s local Journey Recovery Hub, a vital out-of-hours service supporting individuals experiencing mental health crises in Richmond and Kingston?

Richmond Borough Mind’s Crisis Café provides a safe, welcoming environment for people to access immediate emotional support, practical advice, and recovery-focused guidance.

As a Support Worker, you will:

  • Provide one-to-one and group support for individuals in crisis.
  • Help clients develop self-management strategies and effective crisis plans.
  • Facilitate engaging on-site activities and maintain a relaxed, supportive atmosphere.
  • Work collaboratively with a dedicated team to ensure the service runs smoothly and achieves positive outcomes.

This role is perfect for someone with excellent listening and communication skills, resilience in managing emotional situations, and a passion for supporting mental health recovery.
