JOB: Children & Young Person’s Administrator, Space2Grieve

10 hours per week – 2 hours per day (Mon-Fri)  / £13.25 per hour (pro rata of £25,200 per annum)

To meet increasing demand for their service for children and young people, a part-time Administrator is to join this small and dedicated team.

This is a one-year contract, working primarily from home, with regular visits to the Space2Grieve office at the ETNA Community Centre in East Twickenham.

Applicants should:

  • ideally have experience of working with children and comfortable in an environment dealing with death and bereavement.
  • be able to demonstrate a high level of organisation skills with an emphasis on attention to detail and with minimum supervision
  • have good written and verbal communication skills
  • have excellent IT skills (Google Workspace)
  • be able to prioritise tasks in order to meet changing requirements
  • be able to act with integrity and confidentiality at all times
  • be able to recognise the potential needs of children with additional needs
  • be adaptable and flexible to the challenges of working with a diverse and vulnerable client base, and sensitive to the needs of differing family dynamics.

The post will report to the organisation’s Clinical Services Coordinator and provide administrative support to the space2grieve process of supporting children and young people.

Key responsibilities include:

  • ensuring all information, from initial enquiries through to arranging support sessions,  is accurately recorded
  • following through all administrative requirements for bespoke Parenting through Grief sessions
  • assisting with allocations and endings in providing administrative support to the agreed processes
  • responding to all queries relating to the administration of the above via telephone or email.

This is a new post looking to recruit and appoint with immediate effect.
