This funding is to support swimming-related programmes that improve children’s wellbeing through water-based activities and help to to ensure that every child has access to learn this essential life skill.
The Alliance is working to remove financial, cultural, and practical barriers so every child learns to swim confidently and safely. It offers grants of up £15,000, with most awards being in the region of £5,000.
This year their priority is support for grassroots organisations delivering swimming instruction and/or water safety education to children from disadvantaged circumstances.
They are particularly interested in projects that demonstrate measurable impact in confidence, competence and cognition – the 3 Cs of swimming development.
The application window runs from 1 August to 15 September 2026.
