This is a new small grants fund for projects that help wheelchair users and disabled people enjoy greater independence, inclusion and opportunity.
Sunrise Medical wants to support projects that encourage people to get active, connect with others, try something new, or simply make everyday life a little easier.
Small grants of up £5,000 are offered to individuals, families, community groups, charities, disability organisations and sports clubs across the UK for initiatives that increase independence, inclusion and opportunity for wheelchair users and disabled people.
The funding can support a range of items and initiatives:
- sports equipment
- community events
- days out and experiences
- personal challenges
- local community projects that remove practical or financial barriers linked to mobility challenges.
Applicants are encouraged to request no more than £100 per person or £500 per group.
You can also nominate a person or organisation that you think would benefit from the Community Fund.
The closing date for applications is 30 September 2026.
