FUNDING: Forbes Charitable Foundation – apply by 30 Sep 2027

Applications are open for projects starting in April 2028 which support adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities.

UK registered or exempt charities and community interest groups supporting adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities can apply for grants of up to £30,000 per year for up to three years.

Applicants must have annual turnover between £1 million and £20 million.

Six to ten organisations are expected to receive awards.

The funding can support capital or revenue costs for:

  • employment and training
  • financial and inclusion
  • support networks
  • accommodation.

The criteria cover areas that support the independence of adults with a learning disability and is is not an exhaustive list. They allows organisations to innovate, whilst recognising the existing provision is vital in meeting current needs.

The application process begins with a 1,000-word outline.

Shortlisted organisations will be invited to apply formally and potentially receive an assessment visit.

The deadline to apply is 30 September 2027 for projects starting in April 2028.
