This match funding campaign for charities working to alleviate the impact of poverty on children and young people across London opens for applications on 16 November to enable charities to participate during the campaign period in June 2027.
In 2026, the Champions for Children campaign raised £3.8M for 62 charities in London. In 2027, the campaign aims to raise funds to provide support for children across four key priority areas, which align with The Childhood Trust:
- physical Health
- mental Wellbeing
- home & community environment
- learning & work readiness.
It’s open to registered charities (including CIOs) that are working with children and young people living in poverty in London, as defined by organisation’s charitable objects, with an annual income of at least £20,000.
Charities should be aiming to raise between £4,000 and £100,000.
The funds raised throughout the campaign can be allocated to core or project costs and must be spent within 12 months of receiving them.
The Childhood Trust provides a suite of resources and an in-person workshop to support charities with maximising the opportunity.
The deadline for registration for the campaign is 5pm on 22 January 2027.
