The Southall Trust (also known as the WF Southall Trust) is a Quaker-based grant-making family trust, established in 1937 by Wilfred Francis Southall with a focus on social and environmental action..

UK-registered charities with an annual income below £1 million can apply for grants of up to £5,000.

The main fields the Trust supports are:

• Quaker Work & Witness

• Environmental Action & Sustainability – which looks for actions and activities that have a positive impact upon the natural environment

• Peace & Reconciliation

• Social Action – with the themes of Criminal Justice, Freedom from Addiction and Substance Misuse, Human Rights & Equality, and the Prevention & Relief of Poverty.

Grants may cover running costs, equipment, buildings, projects and other charitable activities.

Priority is given to organisations addressing local needs, promoting social justice, inclusion and diversity, and tackling structural inequalities.

Previous grant recipients may be considered for funding lasting up to three years.

Applications close on 11 September 2026 but may close earlier if demand is high.
