JOB: Administrator & Coordinator, Cooking Up – apply by 28 Mar

Salary: £13.85 per hour / 20 hours per week

Are you an organised and proactive individual with a passion for social impact community work?

This part-time role is essential in ensuring Cooking Up‘s cooking classes, volunteer socials, and facilitator meetings run efficiently, whilst also managing key administrative tasks. It offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement, with some in-person commitments.

The key responsibilities include liaison with clients, partners, venues, and volunteers, the planning of events and supporting meetings, volunteer recruitment and support, assisting with marketing and promotion, and website updates.

You will need to attend six in-person meetings per year within the London Borough of Richmond (currently Teddington or Twickenham) and attend six cooking classes per year at local hubs (Hampton, Ham, and Whitton).

To apply, you should have strong communication, digital and organisation skills, along with experience of volunteer coordination.

The majority of the role can be completed remotely.

It would be desirable for the candidate to have a car.

The role can be worked flexibly across four or five days (Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm), and is offered on a 12-month contract basis, with the potential for extension subject to funding.

Cooking Up welcomes and encourages applicants from all sections of the community regardless of their gender, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, or religious belief.

Application is by CV and cover letter to joanna@cookingup.org.

The closing date for applications is 1pm on Friday 28 March 2025.

Early application is encouraged as recruitment may close early if the right candidate is found before the closing date.
