Test and Trace Requirements for VCS Groups in Richmond

With immediate effect, voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations and groups are legally required to log details of visitors for NHS Test and Trace and display official NHS QR code posters outside their buildings. Richmond Council has issued information to help ensure your organisation is compliant and avoids any penalty.

The contact details which must be recorded include:

– name

– contact number

– date of visit

– arrival time

– departure time (if possible)

Organisations will also be legally required to display official NHS QR code posters outside their premises. This will allow users to check-in using the QR code with the Test and Trace app, which can then be used for contact tracing if needed.

The new regulations will be enforced by Richmond Council, who can issue fines of up to £1,000 for venues that fail to comply. Fines will rise to up to £4,000 for repeat offenders and/or the the police may be involved as a last resort.
