Social Prescribing Link Worker, ruils – apply by 15 May 2020

Salary: Band 5 £24-27k per annum (or PTE  equivalent)/ 37.5 hours per week (5 days)

Could you empower people to take control of their health and wellbeing by giving them time to focus on ‘what matters to me’?  If so, you could be part of this growing team at ruils.

Ruils is a user-led charity based in Richmond borough that supports children and adults with disabilities and the elderly to live independently, be part of their community and to live life to the full.

They are working with the Richmond General Practice Alliance (RGPA) and the local Primary Care Networks to develop and deliver Social Prescribing in Richmond. Social Prescribing is part of the NHS Long-Term plan and enables GPs and other health care professionals to refer patients to a link worker who can work with the individual to connect them with services and activities in their local community.

They are recruiting for a number of talented, dedicated individuals to take up this vital community-based role as part of the Borough wide team.  People from any previous walk of life, who have experience of working with individuals to support and advocate for them in gaining access to the support they need, can apply.

For this recruitment, they are specifically seeking applicants with experience of supporting clients with long term mental health conditions or those involved in end of life care.

Applicants need excellent IT and organisational skills, must be adept at seeking out the information for relevant community services and have a tenacity to help people achieve sustainable improvements in their wellbeing.
