Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum FTE / 35 hours per week (28 hours will be considered)
Help our local voluntary sector to thrive. If you’re passionate about the voluntary sector and great at fundraising, this could be a brilliant next step.
Richmond CVS supports over 750 voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations across the borough. More than supporting the work of just one exceptional charity, this role is an opportunity to strengthen an entire local sector.
We’re looking for a practical, people-focused Head of Capacity Building to:
- support local groups to improve their fundraising and income generation
- provide advice on governance and organisational development
- coordinate a programme of high quality training and support
- build strong relationships across the local VCSE, partners and stakeholders
- manage projects that make a real difference.
You’ll need practical knowledge in fundraising and governance, combined with curiosity and problem-solving skills to find and offer answers beyond the basics.
You’ll also have the ability to be the main source of practical advice for local groups, supported by external specialists who deliver our formal training programme.
What matters most is that you have:
- solid experience in fundraising and bid writing
- a good understanding of charity governance
- strong communication and facilitation skills
- a genuine desire to help others succeed.
Why join us?
- you’ll work with an established, friendly and committed team
- in a varied role with real impact across Richmond
- based in “the happiest borough in London” with excellent transport links
- have opportunities to grow and develop both yourself and the role
- and the chance to support hundreds of inspiring community organisations.
Richmond CVS exists to empower, enable and involve the local voluntary sector, helping to create strong, vibrant communities at the heart of local life.
If you want to join a small, dedicated team in a challenging and exciting role, where your skills really count, we’d love to hear from you.
