Salary: £50-£60 per session delivered, dependent on experience / 3 mornings per week during school term time
Do you enjoy the company of older people and young children and want to see them both thrive?
This is a fantastic part-time opportunity that could fit in around other commitments where you could be part of a local charity that’s tackling depression in care homes and improving wellbeing for both residents and children.
As a self-employed Session Facilitator for Brighter Together, you could be helping a group have fun and build relationships that improve quality of life.
The role of the Session Facilitator is focused on:
- Ensuring the smooth running of sessions – getting all the resources in place at the right time
- Supporting participants to really engage with the activities, have fun and get the most from being part of the group
- Feeding back to leadership on sessions and working with them to refine the programme as required
There are likely to be opportunities to increase the number of sessions as the organisation grows and potential for the right person to progress further as Brighter Together develops.
Currently there are sessions on 3 mornings per week, during school term time – approximately 10 hours total for 34 weeks. This includes facilitating sessions, preparation work and gathering and providing feedback.
The sessions are estimated to be about 2 ½ hours work (set-up, 1 hr session and set-down) and holiday pay and pension contribution are offered. The session activity is at care homes in Kew and Twickenham and work outside this can be done from home.
The closing date for applications is Monday 9 August 2021.
