Salary: up to £35,000 per annum (or pro rata) / 20 – 37.5 hours per week
Do you have a good working knowledge of SEN legislation, completed some IPSEA SEN law training (levels 1-3) or have relevant experience providing support and advice to people seeking help in relation to EHCPs, SEND education and associated matters?
Skylarks, a local award winning organisation, is seeking a new team member who will be part of a dedicated and growing team supporting children with additional needs and their families.
In this role, you will provide high-quality information, advice and support to the parents or carers of children and young people with SEND aged 0-25 years, in line with the SEN Code of Practice and associated legal framework. Most queries are in relation to Education, Health and Care plans (EHCPs) and about the legal duties of Local Authorities regarding education for children and young people with SEND.
It offers significant room for development and expansion as the charity continues to grow their SEND advice service.
This role could be part-time or full-time, over 52 weeks a year during office hours from Monday to Friday. Candidates can be flexible in the delivery of their hours (within Core Working Hours) according to the needs of the service.
You will mainly be home-based, providing appointments with families seeking help via Zoom or ‘phone. There are also once-weekly visits to the Skylarks’ centres in Twickenham or Hounslow to provide face-to-face appointments.
Recruitment for this post is ongoing.
Application is by CV and supporting statement.
