Salary: £22,000 per annum pro rata / 20 hours per week
LVA are hiring a Project Manager to recruit, train and manage a team of volunteers to work within local secondary schools to deliver a therapeutic mentoring program to years 7-13.
This is a new role that needs building from the ground up and, therefore, has potential for growth as the project expands and establishes.
The Project Manager will be responsible for engaging universities, colleges and churches to recruit volunteers on a placement style basis. You will be responsible for building and growing these relationships and establishing a partnership between LVA and the institutions.
Essential attributes required to apply for this role include a commitment to Christian values, project administration, experience of working with volunteers, networking skills, safeguarding knowledge, excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of contacts.
Additionally, you’ll need a strong pastoral awareness and have an understanding of young people and their concerns and situations.
The role will initially be a temporary contract for one academic year (September – July) with potential for a full-time permanent position subject to funding.
The weekly hours should be worked during the school day with a degree of flexibility and a mix of remote and face-to-face working, where possible. It will be based in Christ Church Feltham and Hampton High School and will ideally commence from 1 November 2021.
