Salary: £25,000 – 28,000 per annum FTE / 20- 30 hours per week

Two posts are available to work as part of a great team giving advice to local older people.

Age UK Richmond is a local independent charity providing services and support to local older people in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.

Their well established and busy Information and Advice team provide free and confidential local help and currently there are two excellent opportunities to join them. 

The role includes:

  • working across Age UK Richmond’s Information & Advice service areas as needed – including the first contact helpline, welfare benefits and Advice Extra
  • providing advice to older people as part of providing welfare benefits and advice extra services on a range of topics, including visiting older people at home
  • collecting feedback and outcomes from users of the information & advice service.

They are looking for:

  • experience of giving information and advice – preferably to older or vulnerable people
  • excellent communication skills, and a proactive and flexible approach
  • experience of welfare benefits advice work preferred.

The posts are based at the White House Community Centre in Hampton. Some home working may also be possible.

Flexibility can be given to the right candidate but the core hours are likely to be Monday to Friday, 10am to 3pm.
