Salary: £33,600 – £35,600 per annum (FTE £42,000 – £44,500) / 30 hours per week
Could you be the new Director to lead this highly regarded local organisation into its 60th Anniversary year and beyond?
FiSH Neighbourhood Care is a well known and respected local neighbourhood care charity which has provided high quality activities, events and services for almost 60 years. They are emerging from two demanding years and re-establishing their events and activities for the elderly and vulnerable of Barnes, Mortlake and East Sheen.
The new Director will oversee the delivery of a new strategic plan, and lead the team and volunteers to deliver its services to the highest standard. This role is the public face of the organisation and reports to the Chair and the Trustees. It leads the staff and volunteer team and also oversees their accessible transport operation.
They will have direct responsibility for setting the annual budget and achieving income and expenditure targets, as well as encouraging a wide range of strong collaborative professional relationships and being attentive and responsive to service provision and the community’s needs.
The ideal candidate will offer
- experience of leading and managing staff and working with volunteers
- experience of fundraising, setting budgets and achieving targets
- strong communication and presentation skills
- excellent IT skills, including social media
- empathy with the elderly and vulnerable and a commitment to helping them lead independent fulfilling lives
- ability to work with good humour in a busy office, where ‘all hands on deck’ are sometimes needed.
You must also be willing to attend events and committee meetings after 6pm and on some weekends.
The post is office based at Barnes Green Centre but some home working and flexible working hours can be offered for the right candidate.
