An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Project Officer to join the Community Engagement Team at the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.
You will be key in recruiting and supporting voluntary Community Ambassadors who live in social housing in the borough and will work with them to find out issues important to tenants and help them have a voice with their housing association and the Council.
To apply, you’ll be a motivated individual with transferable skill sets including the ability to innovate and engage with residents and underserved groups. As this is a new programme, you will be able to help shape the best practice for this innovative area of work.
The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic, ambitious and experienced team that actively engages with residents, voluntary sector and stakeholders, to identify and deliver the Community Engagement Programme across the borough.
The Community Engagement Team is very supportive and works closely with residents, community groups and volunteer groups, to engage on matters which mean the most to those who live, work and study in Richmond borough.
This is a flexible full-time fixed term post, to 31 March 2026.
There may be occasional evening and weekend hours required, for which you will be given time off in lieu.
You’ll mostly work within the community where the Community Ambassador Volunteers are based, alongside some office working based in Twickenham. There may be opportunities for some home-working.
