This match funding campaign opened for applications in December for charities that are working to improve the lives of vulnerable, disadvantaged or underrepresented women and girls in England and Scotland.
During the actual campaign week in March, all public donations made to the selected participating charities via theBigGive.org.uk will be matched by DCMS’ Tampon Tax Fund until each organisation’s ring-fenced match funding award is used up.
To apply, charities must be led by, for and with women and girls and have an annual income of at least £25,000 or be organisations with tax-exempt status for charitable purposes.
They must also be registered with theBigGive.org.uk and be seeking to raise either £2,500, £10,000 or £25,000 in public donations which will be doubled by the match funds.
The closing date for organisations to apply to participate is 11 January 2022.
Notification will be given to successful applicants on Friday 4 February 2022 and The Big Give will offer them a free package of resources to help market the campaign to supporters.
The campaign will officially launch for one week at midday on Tuesday 8 March 2022, to tie in with International Women’s Day.
